Wireless Display (WiDi) is discontinued technology developed by Intel that enables users to stream music, movies, photos, videos and apps without cables from a compatible computer to a compatible HDTV or through the use of an adapter with other HDTVs or computer monitors. Intel WiDi supports HD 1080p video quality, 5.1 surround sound, and low latency for interacting with applications sent to the TV from a PC running Windows 7 or later.{{Cite web |title=How to Determine Your Operating System |url=https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000018246/emerging-technologies.html |access-date=2024-07-01 |website=Intel |language=en}}

Using the Intel WiDi Widget, users can perform different functions simultaneously on their PC and TV such as checking email on the PC while streaming a movie to the TV from the same device.[https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-wireless-display.html WiDi] at Intel.com{{Cite web|url=http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/emerging-technologies/intel-wireless-technologies/intel-wireless-display-intel-widi.html|title=Support for Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi)}} WiDi development was discontinued in 2016 in favor of Miracast,{{Cite web |title=Product Discontinuation Notice for Intel WiDi and Intel Pro WiDi |url=https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/emerging-technologies/000021693.html |access-date=July 1, 2024 |publisher=Intel}} a standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance and natively supported by Windows 8.1 and later.{{Cite web |url=https://www.wi-fi.org/discover-wi-fi/wi-fi-certified-miracast |title=Discover Wi-Fi Certified Miracast |website=Wi-Fi Alliance |access-date=October 15, 2016 }}

Intel's Wireless Display should not be confused with Microsoft's Windows 11 operating system's built-in Wireless Display app (formerly Connect) which works with Miracast.{{Cite web |title=Screen mirroring and projecting to your PC or wireless display - Microsoft Support |url=https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/screen-mirroring-and-projecting-to-your-pc-or-wireless-display-5af9f371-c704-1c7f-8f0d-fa607551d09c#ID0EBF=Windows_11 |access-date=2024-07-01 |website=support.microsoft.com}}
