The result was redirect to List of Kentucky Union Civil War units#Infantry Since also merged (although I am not sure whether a simple bibliographical citation is copyrightable content, but nevertheless) (non-admin closure) RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 03:46, 4 July 2020 (UTC)

This unit failed to complete formation, lacks significant coverage in reliable sources and is therefore not notable per the GNG. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 00:46, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Delete, orphan, it's not even referred to by that name elsewhere in Wikipedia. Initially I thought it might be a placeholder, or could be redirected to some list of 'infantry regiments', but no, not referred to at all.Merge to List of Kentucky Union Civil War units. Normal Op (talk) 02:26, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
:* The unit appears in List_of_Kentucky_Union_Civil_War_units#Infantry
::*Sure enough does... with a different text string so it wasn't found on basic search. Changing my !vote from delete to merge. Normal Op (talk) 16:05, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
:::*What exactly is going to be merged to a bare list, {{u|Normal Op}}? The 31st is already listed there. This doesn't make any sense. Do you mean redirect? Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 22:34, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
::::*Yes, delete and redirect; because that's what happens when you merge. Or just plain merge... because there's two citations that don't exist (yet) in the target article. (If you're going to split hairs, I really need a haircut!) Normal Op (talk) 22:43, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
:::::*OK, I've copied the sources and citations across. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 00:17, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. As one who writes a number of ACW unit histories, I can state with confidence this is a clear WP:MILUNIT failure. Hog Farm (talk) 03:45, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- Merge into List_of_Kentucky_Union_Civil_War_units#Infantry per WP:ATD-M and WP:PRESERVE. Andrew🐉(talk) 11:12, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

::* {{edit conflict}} Peacemaker has [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Kentucky_Union_Civil_War_units&diff=964856653&oldid=964856586 merged] content from the article in question to the list – the cited sources which the lists did not have.
