Per WP:NOTNEWS and WP:EVENTCRIT. Per WP:GNG, "sources should be secondary sources, as those provide the most objective evidence of notability". From what I've been able to find, none of the sources were secondary since none of them contained analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis of the event itself. The event does not have in-depth nor sustained continued coverage of the event itself with coverage only briefly occurring in the aftermath of the accident. WP:EVENTCRIT#4 states that routine kinds of news events including most accidents – whether or not tragic or widely reported at the time – are usually not notable unless something further gives them additional enduring significance, which this event lacks. • delete or possibly there is some list of accidents to which this could be redirected, but a runway overrun in which nobody was even injured is of fleeting newsworthiness. Mangoe (talk) 12:09, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep I remember this being a big deal - it was in the news cycle for over a week and made front page headlines, and Serbian sources were running top stories on it days after the accident, which is confirmed through my BEFORE search in local sources. It easily passes GNG and clearly had continued coverage. SportingFlyer T·C 14:05, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
  • :At worst this needs to be merged or redirected, but there are two possible targets - the airport and the airline. SportingFlyer T·C 15:54, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport#Accidents and incidents. I don't think the coverage here is persistent enough to meet the EVENTCRIT mark, especially considering that there wasn't a crash and there were no injuries. nf utvol (talk) 16:20, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep Pretty notable considering what it led to. It led to an aircraft write off, a termination of a wet lease with another airline, the retirement of the whole Embraer fleet, and substantial airport lighting and ILS damage. Fadedreality556 (talk) 18:22, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
  • :Per @Aviationwikiflight the statement that the whole Embraer fleet was retired doesn't appear to be correct or supported by the sourcing. nf utvol (talk) 16:57, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep per wikipedia:EVENTCRITERIA (read point 2). 95.98.65.177 (talk) 20:50, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
  • :{{Tq|Events are also very likely to be notable if they have widespread (national or international) impact and were very widely covered in diverse sources, especially if also re-analyzed afterwards (as described below).}} "Very likely to be notable" does not mean that a subject will be notable; there has been an impact, the termination of the lease agreement, but that's it. That's not a widespread "national or international impact"; and lastly, what re-analysis is there that is currently available to us? Aviationwikiflight (talk) 13:05, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete, Wikipedia is not a collection of news articles. If this affected other organizations, then the information should be in the articles of those organizations. Come back if this becomes a WP:CASESTUDY for aviation incidents. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 23:05, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Comment – I've removed the claim that the entire Embraer fleet was retired as it's not stated in the sources. An [https://www.airserbia.com/Air-Serbia-to-cease-cooperation-with-Marathon-Airlines~1719412 Air Serbia announcement] only stated that: {{Tq2|Regardless of the results of the aforementioned investigation, Air Serbia informed Marathon Airlines today that it is terminating cooperation with that company and, as of tomorrow, 21 February 2024, no Air Serbia flight will be operated by the said Greek company’s aircraft. Flights that should have been operated by Marathon Airlines will now be operated by other aircraft in the fleet to maintain traffic continuity.}} It states that cooperation between both airlines has been terminated, but it does not state that they were retired. The same goes for the [https://www.ch-aviation.com/news/137332-air-serbia-terminates-marathon-airlines-acmi-after-incident ch-aviation] source: {{Tq2|"Regardless of the results of the [ongoing safety] investigation, Air Serbia informed Marathon Airlines today that it is terminating cooperation with that company and, as of 21 February 2024, no Air Serbia flight will be operated by the said Greek company's aircraft. Flights that should have been operated by Marathon Airlines will now be operated by other aircraft in the fleet to maintain traffic continuity," the Serbian airline said.}} It also says that flights would be operated by other aircraft, not that they would be retired. • :They wet leased four E195s from Marathon and cancelled the wet lease as a result. I don't know if they had other E195s at that point, they only have two now. SportingFlyer T·C 17:11, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete per WP:NOTNEWS, as well as lack of WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE beyond the initial news cycle and lack of WP:LASTING effects, thereby failing WP:NEVENT. The existing mention at {{slink|Air Serbia|Accidents and incidents}} is sufficient. At a push we could redirect to that section as an ATD, though I'm not particularly convinced of the utility of such a redirect. Rosbif73 (talk) 13:32, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep the event happened and there was WP:SIGCOV, meeting WP:N and WP:EVENTCRITERIA as well as WP:RSP. Following coverage takes away the arguments above including being WP:NOTNEWS. There is coverage on and after the incident as well - [https://www.cei.int/ansa/140929][https://www.airdatanews.com/air-serbia-breaks-agreement-with-marathon-airlines-after-incident-with-embraer-jet/][https://travel.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/aviation/international/air-serbia-halts-deal-with-greek-airline-after-plane-damaged/107870474][https://avherald.com/h?article=5151ede4][https://www.airserbia.com/Air-Serbia-to-cease-cooperation-with-Marathon-Airlines~1719412][https://thepavlovictoday.com/air-serbia-cuts-ties-with-marathon-airlines-after-aircraft-incident/][https://www.flightglobal.com/safety/e195-operating-for-air-serbia-reportedly-damaged-after-hitting-structures-during-take-off/156996.article][https://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2024/02/19/Serbia-airplane-runway-lights-emergency-landing-Belgrade/4351708362643/][https://www.financialexpress.com/world-news/passenger-jet-hits-equipment-on-takeoff-from-belgrade-airport-and-is-forced-to-make-emergency-return/3398891/][https://zeenews.india.com/telugu/social/passenger-plane-hits-equipment-on-takeoff-from-belgrade-airport-germany-rv-124496][https://krdo.com/news/2024/02/19/passenger-jet-hits-equipment-on-takeoff-from-belgrade-airport-and-is-forced-to-make-emergency-return/] somw other websites[https://www.exyuaviation.com/2024/02/preliminary-e-jet-accident-report-finds.html?m=1][https://www.travelandtourworld.com/news/article/air-serbias-decision-no-more-collaboration-with-marathon-airlines/].
