Please check out: WP:Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Thanks. This is an outstanding article. One of the best written dictionary entry type articles I have ever read on WP. It is far better than most on Wiktionary. However it is still in violation of WP's not a dictionary policy. WP is not a dictionary of English, Arabic, or any other language -- no matter how important or interesting the word is. Jaque Hammer (talk) 08:41, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep WP has quite a few articles on ethnic labels. Although these are words they are important enough in society and history so that an encyclopedia article is useful. From the information given in the article this one seems far more important than most in English. Steve Dufour (talk) 16:53, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep but clean up. Although there is a bit too much dictionary-like content for my liking (especially the "Other usages" section), the article describes the concept of Arabic-speakers regard for and labeling of non-Arabs, including historical and political dimensions. The dictionary content should be pared down, but the article has a concept and not only a term at its center. Cnilep (talk) 02:06, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
