No indication of meeting WP:COMPOSER. No independent WP:reliable sources. noq (talk) 10:32, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- I am the article's creator, and recommend that Wikipedia Keep the page. The fact that Josef Weinberger Ltd.(London) and Boosey & Hawkes (London) have accepted his work for publication, and included them in their catalogues, complete with reference numbers, constitutes an external acceptance of his work. In addition, there was already a page for the composer on the German site of Wikipedia. TheAMmollusc (talk) 12:42, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
:: Please read WP:COMPOSER - being published is not enough. A page on another Wiki does not establish notability. A list of compositions does not establish notability - this requires significant coverage in independent WP:reliable sources. noq (talk) 18:30, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm not related to the articles creator, but I know Alan Wilson from University life in the 1980's. Everything in the article is correct. As a composer he has not received the attention he deserves. His church music is brilliant.
So, please keep the article. I found it whilst researching what he is doing now. Jeremy Honeybun —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.41.196 (talk) 16:13, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

- Delete clearly fails WP:COMPOSER by a wide margin, claims of fondness among supposed former school chums nonwithstanding. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 17:13, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment: I just found an article on him on bach-cantatas, which I will put on Ext links, to be considered. I don't know anything else yet about him, but he is clearly not as little recognized as I read above. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:13, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment: Alan Wilson is listed with some compositions, published by different publishing companies, in the German National Library: [http://d-nb.info/gnd/134671260]. --Density (talk) 14:01, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Weak Keep mainly because of publication by Boosey. Couldn't find reviews, but then it's such a hard name for searching. --Kleinzach 14:23, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Keep per German National Library in addition to the comment above, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:33, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Keep. The award from the Royal School of Church Music is prestegious within the field of church music. That coupled with being published by Boosey clinches notability I think.4meter4 (talk) 01:30, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
