He is a college professor that organized the New Jersey Film Festival. All the news coverage he has received has been about that festival. Does not pass WP:ACADEMIC or WP:CREATIVE, the applicable guidelines. Rusf10 (talk) 02:38, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Weak keep - An article in The New York Times about him just pushes him past the bar, barely. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:30, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Delete The NYT article is a local interest story about a businessman within the newspapers reading area, it is just not enough to make Nigrin notable.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:13, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

::He's not really a businessman, he's a college professor.--Rusf10 (talk) 01:46, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Keep due to the NYT profile and the fact that he's a creator of a notable film festival. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 00:57, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Merge to New Jersey Film Festival. The NYT piece is mostly about the festival (and the NYT covers local news - which includes NJ, and half of it is a Q&A interview (which is not independent coverage, the top half is perhaps not). There's little scope for development here with current sources and both the festival and this article are quite short stubs.Icewhiz (talk) 13:00, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

  • Redirect to New Jersey Film Festival in lieu of deletion; I don't see any reason to put a stub bio of this person in that article. power~enwiki (π, ν) 19:07, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Keep on account of subject passing the independent-notability threshold of WP:NARTIST. There's the already cited NYT [https://www.nytimes.com/1993/01/17/nyregion/new-jersey-q-a-albert-gabriel-nigrin-movies-that-don-t-make-the-multiplex.html article] plus [https://www.nytimes.com/1995/09/03/nyregion/on-the-towns-film-offbeat-and-arty-in-the-land-of-the-multiplex.html another one], which are very strong for our purposes. Moreover, the subject is an artist himself. The article somewhat bypasses this. There's extensive coverage of the subject as an artist in, for example, an offline 1993 Star-Ledger extensive, critical presentation ("Visual Arts Center presents screenings of Nigrin films"). The text needs some serious improvement, though. -The Gnome (talk) 12:50, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Delete or Merge to film festival. No notability to be found. Xxanthippe (talk) 03:00, 18 July 2018 (UTC).
