I have been unable to verify notability via significant coverage in independent reliable sources. -- Tavix (talk) 13:27, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

- Keep--I think you ought to go and notify more of the contributors. As of right now, you only notified one, but there are more in the edit history. I removed the PROD because there were three ethnographic articles published in Serbian by A Bačko that show up on Google Scholar.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 18:40, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
::If you would like to notify more people, you may do so as long as you follow WP:APPNOTE. Could you please explain how having "three ethnographic articles published in Serbian" confers notability? Simply having something published isn't a criteria for notability—even for academics per WP:NACADEMIC. If you can show that those articles {{tq|had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources}}, then there might be something to that. -- Tavix (talk) 19:01, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
:::You should notify them, you nominated the article for deletion. They might know Serbian. That he has published in Serbian, but possibly not in English suggests that the notability-demonstrating-evidence could also be in Serbian.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 00:35, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
::::You're the one that is concerned about notifications—I am not. I have considered that this evidence may be in Serbian and that I may have have overlooked it, which is why I have notified WP:DSSERBIA about my action. The WP:BURDEN to provide these sources, however, is on the author(s) of the article, and this should have taken place when the article was written. I have noticed that it still has not happened in the intervening decade, which is concerning to me. -- Tavix (talk) 13:40, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
:::::If you are interested in having an impartial discussion on the notability of this person, it would be wise to notify the other contributors. I would be surprised if none of them could read Serbian. The evidence of his notability, if it exists, is likely to be in Serbian.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 15:47, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Delete having three articles published is not a sign of notability, it is a sign the person is an academic. Not all academics are notable and nothing suggests that Backo is.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:38, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

- Delete. I’ve searched for reliable independent sources and not found any. Mccapra (talk) 04:43, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
