Pausader is a non-notable assistant professor at Brown University who does not meet WP:PROF. The article appears to have been created as a fan page, and is used primarily as a basis for vandalism, both for the article itself (see [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=316832333], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=316982456], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=319584650], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=319584914], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=319760492]) and other articles linked to it (see [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Human_physical_appearance&diff=prev&oldid=319834185], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Toulouse&diff=prev&oldid=319834045], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dispersive_partial_differential_equation&diff=319833141&oldid=215358188], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brown_University&diff=prev&oldid=319833014]).
I [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=319850167&oldid=319849099 PRODded] the article, but the PROD was promptly [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Benoit_Pausader&diff=next&oldid=319850167 reverted] by {{IPuser|138.16.30.163}}, an anonymous editor posting from Brown, who is responsible for much of the above-mentioned vandalism. The editor made no corresponding edits to either improve the article to overcome its shortcomings or to provide any justification for retention of the article on its talk page. - Delete. A no-brainer: the subject just graduated (last year) and has 2 whole journal publications, giving him an absolute maximum possible h-index of 2. A country mile short of WP:PROF. Respectfully, Agricola44 (talk) 06:19, 15 October 2009 (UTC).
- Delete, not even close to notable. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 09:09, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

- Comment. The delete comments above are probably right. There is a mathematics professor from Université Laval who is an active editor at Wikipedia (and whose userid I have forgotten, and it would be helpful to get his comments. -- Eastmain (talk) 16:27, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
:*Comment. More opinions are welcome, of course, but this case is already very clear. His h-index is only 1, according to the WoS search "Author=(Pausader B*) Timespan=All Years. Databases=SCI-EXPANDED, SSCI, A&HCI", meaning he fails WP:PROF #1. He is not a "distinguished" or named-chair tenured professor, not elected to a prestigious society, not chief ed. of a mainstream journal, and so forth. This is precisely why newly-minted academics always wash-out in the AfD stage (with exceedingly rare exception). He may become notable in the future, but the WP:CRYSTAL guidelines don't really permit us to act on such speculation. Respectfully, Agricola44 (talk) 17:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC).
- Delete per above. Paul August ☎ 02:16, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as with the others. Clear enough. Suggest a SNOW and a courtesy blank of the AfD. DGG ( talk ) 00:43, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
