- Weak keep. I think the case is stronger for her as an organizer on behalf of prostitutes (via WP:GNG) than as an academic (WP:PROF). Google news has hits from newspapers all over the world citing her as an expert on this subject, but unfortunately I did not find much in-depth coverage of her there. The picture over at Google books looks similar: lots of hits quoting her as an expert, few with nontrivial detail about her. But I did find [http://www.thenation.com/blog/168955/aids-isnt-just-public-health-issue-its-injustice# this article] in The Nation which has two paragraphs about her. [http://www.ethiopianreporter.com/pre-en/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2112:drop-me-at-the-drop-in-center-where-i-belong&catid=116:society&Itemid=536 This story] in the Ethiopian Reporter has four short paragraphs about her. We also have some lower-quality sources such as [http://www.aids2012.org/default.aspx?pageId=497 this bio as a plenary speaker at a conference] and her [http://www.monash.edu.au/research/people/profiles/profile.html?sid=32295&pid=5261 Monash reseearcher profile] that may be sufficiently independent to be usable. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:35, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
- Keep: Overs seems to be an important figure in the world of sex work and HIV/AIDS advocacy. Her role is reflected in articles linked by David Eppstein above as well as others. [http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=A0ZaAAAAIBAJ&sjid=CigMAAAAIBAJ&pg=6201,5389602&dq=cheryl-overs&hl=en This article] describes her as an expert in the field. I would hope to see some of these articles incorporated into the Wikipedia page soon, as it needs more inline citations. groupuscule (talk) 03:22, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- It would help if the deletion rationale could be written in English, a language in which "GHits" and "GNEWS" are not words. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:49, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- Keep - Notable for sex worker advocacy. --Lquilter (talk) 01:08, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
