Only claim to notability is (former) deputy mayor of a city council and a feud with the mayor. Further, is unreferenced. Its a bad precedent if we start recording such minor news events at all, let alone BLPs. –Moondyne 15:09, 15 August 2010 (UTC) –Moondyne 15:09, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Keep. He was deputy mayor and council Labor leader in a capital city; not only that, but of Brisbane City Council, which covers most of the Perth metropolitan area and has an almost parliamentary-system. It's hardly a case of local notability; he's one of the more significant politicians in Brisbane, and his career is well-documented in the major dailies. Rebecca (talk) 16:52, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Delete If it was referenced I could possibly lean to keep, given the size and scope of BCC, but there has not been even the slightest attempt at referencing. Perhaps an article could be written about the subject, but this article is not it. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 20:37, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment - I want to vote keep, but I cannot do so until references are added. WP:POLITICIAN states that "Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage" are notable and that "members of the main citywide government or council of a major metropolitan city" are "likely to meet this criterion".
