Only books involved in are WP:SELFPUB. Journalism award appears minor. Was deleted once under CSD. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

  • keep Ms. May-Waldman's awards were stated to be "minor", which seems insulting, as she won awards two years in a row from the Society of Professional Journalists (added as text to the article). She has also had poetry published in many literary magazines. LitReviewer2 (talk) 00:25, 18 March 2010 (UTC). For independent reviews, check review of book at http://www.storycirclebookreviews.org/reviews/womansong.shtml. , and at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Womans-Song-Diana-May-Waldman/dp/1615460233/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269008353&sr=8-2--LitReviewer2

  • Delete I could not find any verification of the awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. The link is merely to the society's website, and a search of that website for her name turns up nothing. The rest of the references are either to non-reliable sources (e.g. the reviews of her book on blogs), or else they simply serve to establish that she does in fact write for a (small local) newspaper. Her main claim to fame seems to be her book of poetry, A Woman's Song, but it was recently deleted as non-notable; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A Woman's Song. I suggested at that time that the author herself might turn out to be notable, but she isn't - not according to what is on the record so far. --MelanieN (talk) 21:03, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
