I'm sceptical someone who's real name remains a mystery can be notable enough for inclusion. He cedrtainly doesn't meet our general notability requirements, [http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/indices/a-tree/s/Sampathkumar:E=.html this] being hte only thing I could find about him. And then he doesn't meet any of the other criteria laid down for academics Pattont/c 14:00, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Easy keep References, books, mutiple Google Scholar hits, what more do you want? Looie496 (talk) 17:22, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Keep, we don't need to know his name. Would you have suggested deleting Deep Throat before Mark Felt acknowledged himself as that person? Or King Scorpion, since we will never know for sure what his name was? Nyttend (talk) 21:17, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Keep per Nyttend and Looie496. Ikip (talk) 00:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Keep. The nominator's rationale doesn't take account of cultural sensibilities. In South Asia, where more than 20% of the world's population live, notable people are usually referred to by their initial and surname, as this one is. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:47, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Keep His publications, collaborators and academic positions make him sufficiently notable. Side comment: While the nominators statement about the name was culturally ignorant and insensitive, it's best to address the issue of notability of the subject during an AFD, rather than argue "keep, since nominator is wrong about something". • What E. stands for is unknown to me. It may be his family name or something. I'll update when I find it. He is called as Sampthkumar. In North India and Central India, the name is written in the way Americans write their names whereas in South India (Karnataka, Chennai Nadu, Kerala, Andhra )it is little different for 75% of them. 35 % still follow the way the Northern Indians write.
