- Keep -- a significant phrase. Please see Talk:Eight deadly words for a long prior discussion of the notability of this article. In particular, see these cites:
:*{{cite web |publisher=SF Site |title=Featured Review: Cartomancy |first=Alma A. |last=Hromic |url=http://www.sfsite.com/05b/ca224.htm |date=2006 |quote=Thirdly, if the most interesting thing about these characters -- and this is where they are introduced -- is which is the taller and what colour eyes they have and what hairstyles they sport, I find myself so bored by the end of this ONE paragraph that I have uttered the Eight Deadly Words in my mind: I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE PEOPLE.}}
:*{{cite news |first=Evelyn C. |last=Leeper |title=This Week's Reading |work=The MT Void |publisher=Mt. Holz Science Fiction Society |url=http://www.fanac.org/fanzines/MT_Void/MT_Void-2243.html |date=April 23, 2004 |quote=I understand that a lot of people liked this, but for me it was the Eight Deadly Words Effect that killed it: "I don't care what happens to these people."}}
-- which appears to me prima facie evidence of notability per WP:N. They do need to be integrated into the article, I think. --Pete Tillman (talk) 01:25, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

- Delete. Per WP:NEO, references need to be about the phrase in question, not merely use it, and regretfully, Pete Tillman's sources fall short of this criterion. I also failed to find any mention of the phrase on Google News or Books, save from reference to a band name. I could, however, be persuaded to change my recommendation if appropriate sources can be found. — Mr. Stradivarius ♫ 22:59, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. WP:NEO is clear. --Ifnord (talk) 01:25, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
