The result was move to The Commoners' New Forest. As this is a somewhat unusual result, it is hoped that a participant here will take care of making the article fit the new title. Seraphimblade Talk to me 06:01, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

Can find virtually nothing about Kenchington (apart from WP mirror sites), and no reviews. Fails WO:GNG and WP:AUTHOR. Edwardx (talk) 16:47, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

He seems to have died in 1992 but I couldn't find any obituaries, someone with access to newspapers.com might be able to find more Piecesofuk (talk) 13:35, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

  • I checked Newspapers.com (pinging {{u|Piecesofuk}}): there are a few more book reviews ([https://www.newspapers.com/clip/109037622/kenchington/ The Observer], [https://www.newspapers.com/clip/109037487/kenchington/ The Guardian], [https://www.newspapers.com/clip/109037633/kenchington/ Western Mail]) but no obituaries or biographical coverage. I also have access to the Times Literary Supplement review, which I think is roughly the same length as the Observer review. (I'd be happy to send a copy to anyone who'd like one; just email me.) I'd be glad to reconsider if something else turns up, but as it stands I'm thinking that the book is notable (based on the reviews and WP:NBOOK) but that Kenchington is not. The current article could easily be restructured as an article about the book, so a good alternative to deletion would be to keep and move to The Commoners' New Forest, leaving the current title as a redirect.
