Biography of a living person with virtually nothing in the way of sources save the pageant she won. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:44, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

  • Keep - From the nomination, I thought the article would be a lot worse than the one I found, which describes an actress who has received many award nominations. She was a titleholder in Miss New York Chinese Pageant which is notable enough for its own article. She is also a recipient and nominee (over several years) of awards which have their own articles, and where there is a precedent for winners to have articles (see 2010 TVB Anniversary Awards. So this is a case of finding additional sourcing to verify the text in the article, which is reasonably well-written, presented, and largely neutral in tone. I think a lot of the best sources will be in Chinese, so less likely to come up in text/source searches. Mabalu (talk) 20:50, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

:*Miss New York Chinese Pageant has no sources, either, and fails WP:N as it only has one source - its own website. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:04, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

:: Interesting - then that should probably be nominated too. I'm surprised the beauty pageant police didn't get there already. She still sounds notable based on her acting career and award wins/nominations, so my keep vote stands - will have a look for sources to support those. Mabalu (talk) 21:07, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

::: Blimey! Searching for her traditional and simplified Chinese names pulls up a load of news archive hits (in Chinese) with dates covering the last 15-odd years since she first won the pageant. We really need someone who can read Chinese, as I haven't a clue where to begin looking there... I'm finding some interesting mentions though in English-language sources such as [http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/12/nyregion/thecity/12page1.html?_r=0] Mabalu (talk) 21:24, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

:::: Okay, I've added three sources, including [http://ecentral.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/3/9/tvnradio/5805079&sec=tvnradio this article focusing on her], but I think proper verification/sourcing will need to be done by someone who can read the Chinese language sources. • Keep. The topic is notable, but it could make use of Chinese-language sources to fill the article up with information. --Cold Season (talk) 22:32, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Keep. Simply tag the article for improvement. STSC (talk) 09:08, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
