Fictional character from a series of non-notable books by a non-notable author. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 11:05, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Keep if any decent sourcing can be found (there ain't nothin' right now), otherwise Merge back into List of Forgotten Realms characters. The character does exist as the [http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:ymR9FYuidHQJ:www.wizards.com/default.asp%3Fx%3Ddnd/frcc/20070314+site:www.wizards.com+fox+twilight&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us publisher acknowleges her] by name, as does [http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Forgotten-Realms/Eric-Scott-de-Bie/e/9780786943142 a reviewer of the book], but given how hard it was to find just that, I think we can merge about a paragraph or a couple sentences of the current article into the list. • Delete or Merge just one or two sentences to List of Forgotten Realms characters, for the same reasons as the nom. If anything is merged, it should be no more than a paragraph unless reliable third-party sources can be found. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 14:30, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
  • I opted to merge five sentences into the List of Forgotten Realms characters article. I have no objections to delete the individual article. I appreciate your guys' work on this. Please let me know if the sources cited are not "reliable", and (if not) what you would consider "reliable." Malchor7 (talk) 20:04, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

:It works for me. I notice you were the one who split it off in the first place, so good solution. :) BOZ (talk) 22:05, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

::Reliable sources are third-party sources (in this case, things published by companies other than TSR and Wizards of the Coast) which have a "reputation for accuracy and fact-checking" (e.g., not personal blogs or wikis). Wikipedia:Reliable sources contains details on this. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 22:50, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

:::That seems like a catch-22, as all of WotC's characters and plots are covered by copyrights, so no company but WotC can publish anything about the characters without copyright violation. But perhaps I'm misunderstanding the situation.Malchor7 (talk) 17:13, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

::::Unfortunately, more often than not, it is a catch-22, as many others have discovered (thus the endless debates regarding notability for elements of fiction). BOZ (talk) 17:43, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

:::::If a reliable source were to review the books that the character is in, with a few paragraphs about the character specifically, that would help to establish notability. Its things like reviews, studies, and journalistic articles that can be used. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 17:57, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Note to closing admin: The edit history of the article must be kept for license reasons, now that some content has been merged. If consensus is to delete, I strongly suggest just redirecting the existing article and giving it full protection instead. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 22:52, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Merge to List of Forgotten Realms characters. Edward321 (talk) 05:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
