I do not believe this individual meets the criteria of WP:ATHLETE. Google search for {{google|"Franklin Reyes" baseball}} does not come up with any helpful results. He won MVP of a tournament, but that's not enough. Being the fiance of a famous person does not make one automatically notable. Contested prod. ... discospinster talk 02:41, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

:Comment This whole thing seems a bit shady. The link to the story of his fiancee's death is a message board post -- Cheron's page does not list her as deceased, and I can find no stories on Google of Cheron's death at all. I can also find no stories stating that Cheron is engaged to this person outside that same message board post and one user-provided answer on Answers.com. I smell hoax. -Dewelar (talk) 15:24, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete - That he won the MVP of this tournament seems true [http://www.theuscaa.com/media0506/60511baseball-uscaachampionship.htm?dec=/printer-decorator&] but I don't know that that is enough to confer adequate notability. Who he is engaged to is irrelevant. Rlendog (talk) 15:49, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete - Fails WP:GNG catastrophically. I'm not even sure the tournament itself is notable. Beyond the USCAA's own website, there doesn't seem to be much information available on it on the web. I certainly can't find any information on Reyes himself beyond that brief mention. Even if everything that was removed from the article due to possible WP:BLP violations is correct, that still wouldn't add up to notability. -Dewelar (talk) 17:22, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete Does not meet WP:NSPORTS for college athletes as the MVP award mentioned is not from a notable tournament. Fails WP:GNG with no significant coverage from WP:Reliable sources. —Bagumba (talk) 17:28, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete Dewelar said it best, so I'll QFT: "Fails WP:GNG catastrophically." – Muboshgu (talk) 23:00, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
