No evidence of notability, becoming a Montessori school is not a notable event, the best policy we have worked at creating regarding schools, WP:School implies that elementary schools are not inherently notable, and there is no evidence of significant secondary coverage as per WP:GNG. Recommend redirecting to Gulfport, Florida. Terrillja talk 21:14, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

  • Redirect At first I'm thinking "Why bring it to AfD?" - but I see that your first attempt to redirect was undone. An easier method may have been to simply make your case to the author himself. But anyway, yes I agree anything less than a high school is not inherently notable (see WP:OUTCOMES). The article would have to pass the general notability guidelines in order to be kept.  JUJUTACULAR  21:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

::Normally I would have gone to the author if I had a concrete policy to cite, however wp:schools never gained consensus unfortunately. This is also the first time I have ever had one of my school redirects undone, so I figured that I would bring it here where it would likely get snowballed rather than wasting my time on a PROD just to have it removed and have to bring it here anyways.   • Merge/redirect to Pinellas County Schools#Elementary schools. We merge public schools in the US to their district and I see no particular reason to target this one at the locality. I have an element of sympathy with the creator since the practice is to merge the schools rather than a straight redirect as attempted by the nominator. Be that as it may, I have carried out the merge so the redirect is all that remains to be done. TerriersFan (talk) 15:42, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
