The result was redirect to West Hollywood, California. Dubiously sourced with a strong suspicion of a promotional conflict of interest. Consensus is that this at best warrants a mention in the context of the wider area. ~ mazca talk 12:13, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Article is primarily WP:PROMO for the efforts of one Larry Block to get a certain designation for an area of West Hollywood. Article created and all substantial edits are by User:Blockpartyweho -- Block Party in West Hollywood is a store owned by Larry Block, as explained in the earlier revisions of this page.   • Redirect to West Hollywood. First off, the article is factually incorrect. Los Angeles, California is in fact a separate city from West Hollywood, California, unlike the opening of the article states. The history of the now-iconic gay neighborhood of West Hollywood is synonymous with the history of this article subject. It's basically the same topic. It would be like having a new article about the gay history of The Castro, San Francisco when the existing article already contains that history.--Oakshade (talk) 21:28, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Agree with Redirect. The designation "Historic Boystown" hasn't even been officially recognized by West Hollywood at this time - it's still just a proposal - and even if it ultimately is recognized, the information properly belongs in the West Hollywood article, with a redirect from this name. --MelanieN (talk) 00:29, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
