College tradition, limited to a single campus, no real indication of notability, no effort to provide sources to prove notability per WP:GNG. Article is just a description of the race and a list of past winners, nothing of real encyclopedic value. Keep. As is, I agree that the article needs a lot of work, but I do find this to be encyclopedic material on par with Little 500.
