- Comment There is clearly a lot of overlap between the definitions of "intellectual function[ing]", "general mental ability", "cognition", and "intellect", among other terms. I was able to find [https://www.apa.org/pi/disability/resources/publications/newsletter/2016/09/intellectual-disability-support this] which defines the term "intellectual functioning" (maybe a better title for this page than the current one).
