Pomerantz is a European Jew who fled the Nazis, an experience shared by thousands if not millions. His experience does not appear in any way unique, other than the fact that he published a memoir about it. The memoir has been reviewed, and has been used as source material in other books, because such histories always seek out first hand accounts of the events. The discussion of his book in Bergen's War & Genocide is simply as one source among many. There doesn't appear to be evidence that the book, or its author, are especially notable. • Keep Meets WP:AUTHOR as author of a book that has received significant critical attention within the field of Holocaust studies, being reviewed at length in the most significant journals (is also reviewed in Dimensions: A Journal of Holocaust Studies, as Google Books shows). :::Second that. More sources needed to verify the work. University of Illinois Press is a notable publisher, but that's not enough. • Comment I don't understand Peterkingiron's argument that a book "published by a University Press ... can expected to be notable." The university may have wished to publish the work as part of an effort to document the experiences of Jews in the Holocaust, but that does not make the particular events of the book, or its author, notable.
