  • Delete : The Fr Wiki article is only a list of national catalogue listings used a sourcing and a list of books. The sourcing is even worse than what's here... I can only find this review of one of his books [https://muse.jhu.edu/pub/1/article/888772/summary]. I don't see enough sourcing to keep the article. Oaktree b (talk) 13:51, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

: Weak keep This review in the Naval War College journal (?, I'm not sure if it's a magazine or a formal academic jouranl) seems to help this person pass AUTHOR [https://www.jstor.org/stable/pdf/44638529.pdf?refreqid=fastly-default%3Aa9921d3b8cb15aa24cd22558c93f6074&ab_segments=0%2Fbasic_phrase_search%2Fcontrol&initiator=search-results&acceptTC=1]. Oaktree b (talk) 13:55, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Week keep per the two reviews Oaktree found, bearing in mind that most sources about the subject are likely to be a) offline and b) in French. – Joe (talk) 08:03, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Genuinely unsure - the article is terrible but fails GNG, the French article is far more developed and suggests notability but does not clearly pass English language GNG, a quick before search was inconclusive. SportingFlyer T·C 02:34, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep his [https://journals.openedition.org/artefact/8180 obituary] was published in French in the bilingual peer-review journal Artefact. Reviews of the English version of his 4-volume "Le vaisseau de 74 canons" appear in [https://doi.org/10.1353/tech.1991.0128 Technology & Culture 32(2)] and [https://doi.org/10.1177/084387149100300124 International Journal of Maritime History 3(1)]. Passes NAUTHOR, GNG. Regards, --Goldsztajn (talk) 04:18, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
  • :Review of [https://www.jstor.org/stable/44894641 John Paul Jones and the Bonhomme Richard]. A [https://www.chasse-maree.com/larcheologie-navale-en-france-entretien-avec-jean-boudriot/ 1984 interview] mentions in the introduction that his "Le vaisseau de 74 canons" raised the standards of 19th Century French Naval Archaelogy to the best works of the English.
