I can't find any evidence to substantiate a Major League Baseball player with this name. The article was created back in 2012 by User:AndyGoff. This appears to be a hoax. LEPRICAVARK (talk) 22:46, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

• Delete.. there was a William Thomas Goff a.k.a. Bill Goff [https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=goff--002wil] that played in the Giants farm system in the 40s... not sure if that is the same person but regardless never played in the majors. Correction... I think I found the player indicated [https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=goff--001j--] J. William Goff with the Cards D league team in 44.
