- Delete per WP:ONEEVENT and WP:NOTMEMORIAL. I would venture to say that anyone on Titanic who didn't get significant things written about them before or after the sinking is probably not notable. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 19:10, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. Most sources I found on this guy are either directory listings on all RMS Titanic victims, or discuss him because his name resembles that of the fictional protagonist of the 1997 film. Of those directory listings, most only give basic biographical information such as date/place of birth, his occupation aboard the Titanic, and some details about his death in the ship's sinking. Wikipedia is not a memorial or a directory. —KuyaBriBriTalk 19:27, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- Delete: One of the many victims. Non-notable. SL93 (talk) 20:53, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- Comment I once heard that James Cameron based Jack Dawson on a then-unknown J Dawson on the passenger manifest. If this is correct, there may be a potential merge to Titanic (1997 film). D O N D E groovily Talk to me 04:11, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

:*Except that this J Dawson was crew, not a passenger. •••Life of Riley (T–C) 15:15, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
