The result was keep. Though this has somewhat low input, the points made by editors as to the notability of the subject would appear to support their arguments of keeping the article. (non-admin closure) EggRoll97 (talk) 14:32, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

  • Keep Satisfies WP:NPOET, WP:GNG --PATH SLOPU 07:52, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Question Is it a conflict of interest if this article on the co-founder of Kundiman was written at a Kundiman-sponsored edit-a-thon (see [https://www.kundiman.org/announcements/2019/5/6/kundimans-may-2019-wikipedia-edit-a-thon])? Bakazaka (talk) 22:06, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

:*if the article is kept appropriate tags including COI at the top of the article may need to be placed. Coolabahapple (talk) 23:00, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

  • Keep, meets WP:POET, works are "well known" ie. appearing in American Literary Review ([https://americanliteraryreview.com/2018/12/05/joseph-o-legaspi/ here]), Apogee ([https://apogeejournal.org/2018/01/10/placemeant-joseph-o-legaspi/ here]), Crab Orchard Review ([https://issuu.com/craborchardreview/docs/crab_orchard_review_vol_12_no_2_s_f here (page 116)]), Poetry ([https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/issue/91293/december-2016#toc here]), New England Review ([https://muse.jhu.edu/article/648712/pdf here]), his poetry has been reviewed/discussed in/by The Rumpus - ([https://therumpus.net/2018/10/the-queer-syllabus-threshold-by-joseph-o-legaspi/ "The Queer Syllabus: Threshold by Joseph O. Legaspi"]), Michigan Quarterly Review ([https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/mqr/2015/02/i-am-what-is-missing-our-stuff-ourselves/ "I Am What Is Missing: Our Stuff, Ourselves"]), Asian American Writers' Workshop - ([https://aaww.org/straddling-convention-erotics/ "Straddling Convention: The Erotic in Asian American Poetry"]), Orion - ([https://orionmagazine.org/2019/04/seven-poems-to-celebrate-earth-day/ "Seven Poems for National Poetry Month"]). • Delete - does not meet WP:POET - is not "regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors" - is not "known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique" - has not "created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series) or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews" - work has not "won significant critical attention" - therefore, delete - Epinoia (talk) 21:01, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

:*Editors need to be carefull not to re/misinterpret notability guidelines that have been developed by consensus over a number of years ie. "work has not "won significant critical attention"", that is not what the notability guideline no. 3 says, it states: "multiple independent periodical articles or reviews" which is what i have provided above.
