  • Weak Keep. This article was created a very short time ago so it seems to be a little newbie-bitey to bring it to AfD immediately. It also doesn't appear to violate WP:1EVENT, as there are several events involved in this topic; it's not notable for any rape event as claimed, it's notable because of the ensuing legal battle. The only issue I have with it is that it's a recent event (and WP is not a journalistic body, as per WP:NOTNEWSPAPER) though sources ([http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2011/09/refusing-to-kill-daughter-pakistani-family-defies-tradition-draws-anger/245691/ such as the one cited], or [http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=67862&Cat=4&dt=9/16/2011 this one from more than a week ago]) are not in short supply.   • Keep one extremely important event for human rights. The fact that English sources are in ample supply for this event in Pakistan should say enough. JORGENEV 18:05, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep - feels premature to have put this article up for AfD, I think users should think both ones and twice before putting up recently made articles for AfD. Anyway it passes WP:1EVENT per legal battle...,--BabbaQ (talk) 06:15, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
