Last year the Afd resulted in No Consensus. To date, there has been no reasons given why this individual is notable, nor relaible sources provided. As such, this article should be deleted. Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 23:26, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Weak Delete. Had a quick look at the last AfD. One of the keep !votes was disputing the article being promotional, but that doesn't address the interval of lack of notability. The other gave a couple of references, but one was an incidental mention in a list of events. That leave an article he wrote in The Guardian. I've done a quick search and found he wrote a few other articles, but it doesn't seem to be enough to count as notability as a columnist. If anyone who knows anything about Hinduism can fill me in with the details here, I may change my !vote. Chris Neville-Smith (talk) 08:55, 19 July 2009 (UTC)- Keep Just added reliable sources. He's notable as a writer. His books have been translated and published in other languages too. --Gaura79 (talk) 12:53, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Out of the four references, one is just a trivial mention, one is a book which he contributed to (abstracts about authors isn't the best claim to notability), and the other two are newspaper articles with some coverage of the author. There again, he articles he contributed to the Guardian/Independent is overcoming some sort of editorial hurdle, but still not much written about him. Hmm ... changing to Neutral, someone with more expertise on this subject would be appreciated. Chris Neville-Smith (talk) 16:27, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I cannot find sources to show that his books (a 1999 Mahabharata novelisation and 2000 condensed version, and stories from Ramayana - in English) have been translated. Have I missed it from those cited? Plutonium27 (talk) 17:41, 29 July 2009 (UTC). I also checked out the subject's website (which includes publisher info). Plutonium27 (talk) 17:46, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
: According to [http://krishnadharma.com/blog/ his website], his books have been translated into 12 languages. In Google books I've found his Mahabharata in Italian, Portuguese, and two other languages.
- Keep – Although not the most in-depth, the sources that Gaura79 has added since this AfD began are enough to meet the general notability guideline. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 01:13, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
