- Keep - I'm surprised at the quick knee-jerk reactions to the nom in this one. A quick look at [http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Krishna+Rajendra+Road,+Basavanagudi,+Bengaluru,+Karnataka,+India&aq=0&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=55.016555,66.269531&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Krishna+Rajendra+Rd,+Basavanagudi,+Bengaluru,+Karnataka,+India&z=15 g-maps] shows this is quite a major thoroughfare, with multiple historic and cultural landmarks on it no less, through Bangalore, a metro-city with a population of over 7,000,000. An article of major thoroughfare of an equivalently large city in the US or UK would never even go up for AfD regardless if sources had yet to be placed in the article. No need to start systemic bias with this one. Just a few of the landmarks on this street are Bangalore Fort, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace and the Ventkataramanaswamy Temple.[http://books.google.com/books?id=cBDkVEmLf0cC&pg=PA5&dq=%22KrishnaRajendra+Road%22&hl=en&ei=LPhJTayiH4_2tgPq1viCCw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCcQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=%22KrishnaRajendra%20Road%22&f=false] I'd only suggest renaming Krishina Rajendra Road as it's spelled in g-maps. --Oakshade (talk) 00:25, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- The nominator is a resident of Bangalore. If a resident of NYC or London or Johannesburg nominated a street for deletion in their towns I would support deletion then too. --AdmrBoltz 01:37, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
::*So if a resident of NYC or London nominated the articles Lexington Avenue (Manhattan), First Avenue (Manhattan), Tottenham Court Road or Strand, London for deletion, you'd support them? Okee dookee. --Oakshade (talk) 04:43, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
:::*You have listed several notable roads. They all have references (except for 1st Avenue) that support their notability. --AdmrBoltz 05:45, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
:*Comment: Even Anil Kumble circle shows up on google maps. The well known Chinnaswamy stadium (where all cricket matches hosted in Bangalore) are played is situated there. The ancient Bible Society of India is also present right adjacent to Anil Kumble Circle. Parade Grounds where all Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations are held has one end of its boundary at Anil Kumble circle. It is also the point where the Bangalore Metro goes underground from a 7 km elevated section. Despite all these, based on a PROD, the article was deleted as it was not notable at all. —Why so serious? Talk to me 02:00, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
