This article circumvented review at WP:AFC via a copy-paste "move" and a histmerge. The subject doesn't quite seem to be notable. There's a single non-interview reliable source there that covers Bell in some detail; that's not enough, and my own searches failed to come up with anything better. The tone is unduly promotional too, though that could be fixed through editing. Huon (talk) 20:46, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

  • Strong keep Now in 20017 he's receiving huge acclaim for collaborating on the #1 song in the U.S. A little investigation shows this dude is a big deal in the industry. See [https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8006781/louis-bell-rockstar-post-malone-interview here] for one example. FloridaArmy (talk) 03:18, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
  • Delete a non-notable music producer.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:23, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
  • Delete – music producers often toil away in undeserved obscurity and don't get significant press coverage. That seems to be the case here as well. WP:NMUSIC does not mention producers. So, without better coverage, the subject here can't be considered notable under WP:GNG. I don't know that doing an end-around on AfC review earns extra demerit points, but it's certainly not something to encourage. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:15, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

::What aboit this article in Billboard about Bell [https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8006781/louis-bell-rockstar-post-malone-interview here]? FloridaArmy (talk) 14:18, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

  • Soft Delete A producer who doesn’t have much press coverage can still meet WP:MUSIC if it can be verified the subject has made significant contributions to many notable recordings. One of the problems with modern music credits is that increasingly more and more “producer” credits are designated for multi-team personnel, and it is sometimes hard to discern between those who were instrumental to a recording’s existence/success versus someone who perhaps monitored sound levels or, in extreme cases, was rewarded producer credit for merely being present during the recording and offering encouragement (this is true!). In such cases one should look for “Executive Producer” credit to separate the levels of overall significance. For what it’s worth, this subject’s work with Justin Beiber and DJ Snake generally list him as one among 5, 6 or 7 names given producer credit. Other, less significant works generally have him in some sort of collaborative roll. This also seems to be true with his songwriting credits. This article seems to want to qualify per WP:INHERENT, and contains a lot of hype verbiage and grey areas of truth in order to elevate the subject beyond WP:RUNOFMILL. I would normally vote a hard delete. And yet there is the undeniable significance of at least one really decent third party reportage in a respectable source (Billboard article per FloridaArmy), even though it’s purpose is primarily promotional (By the way, one should discount the genius.com source as it is a simple repurpose of the Billboard article). More sources similar to the billboard coverage could convince me this subject is notable, so tag me if they are added to the article and I will gladly change my i-vote. ::*Weak Keep.Changing my i-vote in light of the additional Variety source. It's borderline trivial, and yet combined with the Billboard piece it seems to signify a bit of recent momentum towards wider coverage. I'm still a bit troubled by the self-hype and tendency to claim notability by association, hence the "weak" vote. ShelbyMarion (talk) 12:45, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

  • Delete. The Billboard article shows some attention he has gotten in the media, but "he's receiving huge acclaim" and "this dude is a big deal in the industry" are hyperbole. Despite this article, I don't think the bar of "significant coverage" required by WP:BIO is reached here. Slideshow Bob (talk) 15:07, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
  • Strong keep A recent, notable article on this music producer is his inclusion in Variety's 2017 Hitmakers list http://variety.com/gallery/varietys-2017-hitmakers/#!6/louis-bell. For this inaugural list, Variety uses BuzzAngle data for the 30 most-consumed songs of 2017 (through Nov. 2), based on audio sales and streams, video plays, radio spins and Shazam tags. Here the producer is recognized for his work on three songs that earned spots in the Top 5 Songs on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart for 2017 - Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” Kygo’s collaboration with Selena Gomez “It Ain’t Me” and Camilla Cabello’s “Havana". — Preceding unsigned comment added by AEAA (talkcontribs) 22:48, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
  • Strong keep I think this Billboard[https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8006781/louis-bell-rockstar-post-malone-interview] article shows that this individual satisfies the specialized criteria for WP:NMUSIC. Seraphim System (talk) 21:22, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
