• Keep - I respect the opinion presented here, though I disagree. Within the classical music world, Avanti ensemble, Earplay, and the classical music establishments of San Francisco are all very prominent. The awards listed are important in cities like New York and San Francisco. They set standards for the rest of the country. The article in the San Francisco Classical Voice is a full-length article about the subject, by a noted classical music critic of the San Francisco Examiner and the San Jose Mercury News. As a final thought, the very fact that Chun holds such positions of leadership as opera/orchestra conductor, in an industry utterly dominated by men is a testament to her importance.
