Deproded by an SPA anon IP. Toner is a local politician who lost the one election he ran in, and it seems that all significant coverage for him was around the election, so it does not seem persistent. As such under WP:BIO1E it seems this article should be deleted. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:22, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

:*Comment - apologies on that. The Twinkle tool got an error message when posting the AfD. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:20, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Delete. Single campaign-politician, fails WP:BIO1E. 210.7.71.114 (talk) 09:52, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Keep. As per Wikipedia WP:POLITICIAN: "such people can still be notable if they meet the primary notability criterion of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article". Toner clearly received large amounts of "significant" coverage" and from "independent sources." More to the point, while some -- though not all-- of that coverage was during the 1 year leading up to the election, that coverage was primarily focused on him as an individual and his own personal campaign, as opposed to him being a minor focus within a broader narrative. For this Toner certainly meets both primary notability criterion and that of WP:POLITICIAN. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fourpointvoight (talkcontribs) 16:36, 23 May 2013 (UTC) Fourpointvoight (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

  • Delete, subject has received passing mention in non-primary reliable sources for both their business and political backgrounds, however none of those sources cover the subject in an in-depth manor, therefore the subject appears to fail WP:GNG and/or WP:ANYBIO.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 06:31, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment. This being listed under Academics AfD, I can comment that this person does not have notability as an academic. They are presumably in an adjunct position and there is no evidence of training for academic work. So, other criteria are likely to be more critical to the decision. But as far as WP:ACADEMIC, this person does not qualify.Truth or consequences-2 (talk) 17:29, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
