Ignoring [http://books.google.com/books?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=%22Mike+Stearns%22+1632&btnG=Search+Books the works themselves], no real-world notability. See also [http://news.google.com/archivesearch?pz=1&ned=us&hl=en&q=%22Mike+Stearns%22+1632&cf=all news] and [http://scholar.google.com/scholar?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=%22Mike%20Stearns%22%201632&sa=N&hl=en&tab=ps]. "Michael Stearns" is even worse. Ricky81682 (talk) 07:17, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Delete. Just a lot of plot regurgitation. Clarityfiend (talk) 08:29, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Delete — non-notable fictional ex-prize fighter and college drop-out who rises to become regional president of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) local chapter, goes back in time to 1632 Germany to fight in the Thirty Years' War, becomes president of the New United States, Prime Minister of the Confederated Principalities of Europe (CPoE), and first prime minister of Gustavus II, Emperor of the newly formed federated republic, the United States of Europe. And he gets the girl. Sheesh. Appropriate for a fansite, but not an encyclopedia. Cheers, Jack Merridew 10:15, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Keep: This is the central character in a currently-popular SF series with numerous novels and short story collections in print, and there's a torrent of precedent here. That the article needs cleanup is plain, but that's not a legitimate ground for deletion.  RGTraynor  11:57, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

:* Can you find any third-party independent reliable sources that indicate some real-world notability? I thought that was the standard, not just whether the series itself was notable. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 18:46, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
