On a living (now released) prisoner from Guantanamo Fails WP:BLP1E, WP:NOTINHERITED, WP:BIO. There are no secondary sources or independent coverage to claim notability of the subject. The citation used merely take the name. Moreover one of them is WP:PRIMARY source (WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 84#Reliability of US military summary reports) DBigXray 14:07, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

- Keep or Merge to Moroccan detainees at Guantanamo Bay - Doesn't fail WP:BLP1E as he is a former Guantanamo detainee that was later convicted on unrelated charges stemming from his involvement with Salafia Jihadia and there are plenty of secondary sources [http://www.gulf-daily-news.com/NewsDetails.aspx?storyid=135051][http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/paperchase/2006/11/morocco-sentences-three-former.php][http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_wires/2006Nov11/0,4675,MoroccoUSGuantanamo,00.html]. --Joshuaism (talk) 15:47, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
:*All the Three news sources above mention the same passing reference to the subject with the phrase "Najib Lahssini and Mohammed Ouali, were sentenced to three years each on charges of falsifying documents, the news agency said." Miserably fails WP:GNG.--DBigXray 16:37, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Delete, although mentioned in relation to the subject's time as a enemy combatant at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base and the later conviction in Morocco, the mentions of the subject in relating to his time in detention are not significant enough to pass WP:GNG, WP:BIO, or WP:SOLDIER. Additionally although the subject was later arrested, convicted, and jailed for a criminal offense in Morocco the event would fall under WP:NOTNEWS and as an event does not pass WP:EFFECT. Moreover, as a combatant, the individual does not pass any part of WP:SOLDIER; otherwise if passing mention is all that is needed any servicemember who took part in a conflict and can be briefly mentioned X amount of times could than warrant an article.
:Now it can be argued that as a group of detainees the group is notable; however, since this is an AfD regarding a specific individual the individual does not appear to warrant their own article.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 06:20, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Delete - no "significant coverage" = not notable under WP:GNG. Anotherclown (talk) 10:35, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Delete Another Guantanamo article which fails the notability guidelines. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 13:39, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Moroccan detainees at Guantanamo Bay. While, as noted, he does not pass the bar for a stand-alone article, a redirect to the list with a mention there is appropriate. - The Bushranger One ping only 23:02, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think smerger seems to be the best option, keeping some information and all the citations. Bearian (talk) 20:51, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to a section at Moroccan detainees at Guantanamo Bay, best solution to keep all available information when there isn't enough material for a standalone article. --Tachfin (talk) 04:01, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

- Relisting comment. I'd like to hear more about whether a merge would be justified or not. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 17:04, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Moroccan detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Not notable enough for an article. DoctorKubla (talk) 21:31, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Delete - Straight-up BLP1E. I do not support a merger, as the target article IMO should not exist either, as a list of prisoners by nationality is not in any way encyclopedia or list-worthy either.. All the "X descent detainees at Gitmo" articles should be up for deletion as well. Tarc (talk) 13:09, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
