- Speedy Keep as a Vice Chancellor of a notable major university is by far enough for WP:PROF, [http://www.jkkniu.edu.bd/administration.php?id=102&head=52 the school's website] is sufficient for this; to not as a convincing extent but still acceptable, he's also listed at WorldCat, so this can at least be trimmed and improved as needed. - Speedy Delete Per WP:Academic and WP:Creative guidelines the article does not pass notability. ~ Moheen (talk) 09:33, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

- Comment He is not a prominent academic in Bangladesh and nor a chancellor of the University. {{Reply to|SwisterTwister}}, {{Reply to|Vinegarymass911}} please read Academics criteria and Creative criteria mindfully. Even he also failed to pass the WP:GNG. Article have no independent sources to claim notability. The most of the part is Copyvio from his [http://www.mohitulalam.com/bio/ own website]. Fully promotional content, as I see there are included the book price also! ~ Moheen (talk) 05:16, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
- I think you probably need to read up on what a vice-chancellor in Commonwealth universities actually is! He's the actual head of the university; the chancellor is purely a ceremonial role. Having said that, it is a pretty small university, so I'm not sure he meets the criteria. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:37, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

- Delete I followed up on User:Moheen Reeyad comments about the references and they are suspect at best. There are several WP:SBS sources, several that simply mention him in very brief passing, and [http://bdnews24.com/bangladesh/2013/08/13/prof-mohit-new-kabi-nazrul-vc this] article, which I would say provides the most description of Alam, but it is hard to say whether or not it could be considered an rs. The article does not meet WP:V based on the current sources and the page should be deleted. Comatmebro User talk:Comatmebro 03:48, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Comment - The applicable basis here is WP:PROF considering that is the listed occupation and if there at least exists a source (in this case, the school website, and regardless of whatever anyone thinks of a source, if it still confirms the facts) it is enough to suggest he is in fact the university chancellor, thus certainly notable and acceptable. As for the Speedy Delete, that would not be applicable in this case. SwisterTwister talk 22:58, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

- Speedy Keep according to the criteria #6 of WP:PROF, 6. The person has held a highest-level elected or appointed administrative post at a major academic institution or major academic society.. Ibrahim Husain Meraj (talk)
- Delete Vice Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, a new, small university (established 2006, 3464 students). Does not sound like "a major academic institution" to me. BigGuy88 (talk) 04:22, 1 October 2016 (UTC){{clear}}
