Does not meet WP:ATHLETE notability guidelines. Egypt league is not fully professional according to the list. EchetusXe 15:48, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Comment. I don't think that we should get bogged down in discussions about whether there might be a few players in Egypt's top league who are not full-time professionals. It would fly in the face of common sense to say that players at the fourth level in England should get an automatic notability pass but those at the top level in one of Africa's top footballing nations shouldn't. Having said that I can find no evidence that this player has played in any competitive matches for Zamalek's senior team. A Google News search in Arabic for his name along with the club gets [http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=%22%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B2%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%22+%22%D9%85%D8%B5%D8%B7%D9%81%D9%89+%D8%AD%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%A8%22&btnG=Search+Archives&num=100&scoring=a plenty of hits], but, with my rudimentary Arabic, I can only find mentions of his playing in friendlies and youth matches.   • Delete - I cannot find any evidence he has ever appeared for the senior Zamalek side, and while he was named to the bench [http://www.filgoal.com/english/News.aspx?newsid=70702 once] it appears that was a surprise. Also, I have no reason to believe this article would pass the GNG. Jogurney (talk) 04:15, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Delete - no evidence he has ever played for the first-team, so whether the Egyptian league is fully-professional or not is a moot point for this AfD. GiantSnowman 22:43, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
