Pointless arbitrary list. As pointless as Anthems of NATO member states or Anthems of African states, etc. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:21, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- Delete - As a list of loosely associated items. TimothyJosephWood 18:30, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

- So this is basically a fork of List of national anthems? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 21:33, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- Delete as per WP:NOTREPOSITORY. Ajf773 (talk) 07:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- Clear Keep, satisfying two of the three criteria established per WP:CSC: Every entry meets the notability criteria and it's a "short, complete list of every item that is verifiably a member of the group". Diego (talk) 11:28, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- You are citing the section "Common selection criteria", i.e., these criteria are for list content, not for article existence. Staszek Lem (talk) 22:59, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- Keep as meets the criteria for encyclopedic relevence. It is not a "list of loosely associated items" either as the list contents are all clearly associated as being the national anthems of countries of the EU. Also agree with Diego that this list meets the criteria at WP:CSC. In response to Staszek Lem's comment that the list is pointless with examples of Anthems of NATO member states, please note the existence of articles such as List of anthems of non-sovereign countries, regions and territories, List of anthems of Venezuela, National anthems of the Soviet Union and Union Republics and tons of others. As to whether the article meets WP:GNG, the criteria is not original research and many references can be found to indicate that this is a valid collection/list such as albums covering the same topic or [http://www.institutdelors.eu/media/anthemsflagseucloetleguemartelne-jdidec2013.pdf?pdf=ok papers] listing and discussing the anthems. -- HighKing++ 14:51, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is generally an invalid argument in AfD. "Venezuela anthems" is clearly a single topic, while "non-couverweign countries anthems" is clearly a loose collection, ripe for AfD. A rule of thumb for lists is to check whether some reliable sources considered such kind of lists. Staszek Lem (talk) 01:50, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
:::I didn't use WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS as a reason to keep the article. I used the examples to counter the original nom's argument of how articles like it *don't* exist by pointing out that they do. I provided a reference to show that it is a topic that exists in third party publications and therefore it is not an invention of the original author. -- HighKing++ 14:25, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Delete as it fails WP:NOTGALLERY as it is just a collection of media files without encyclopedic context. -KAP03(Talk • Contributions) 22:46, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
::It doesn't fail WP:NOTGALLERY as there is "accompanying text" and context. -- HighKing++ 14:25, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
:::{{re|HighKing}} This article fails WP:NOTDIR by being an non-enclyopedic cross category (#6), a list/repository of loosely related items in this case being anthems of European Union member states (#1), and a simple listing with no context information (#7). This also would be more useful on Commons as a category to organize media there. -KAP03(Talk • Contributions) 15:56, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
::::Yeah, I think the strongest argument I've seen is that it is a "fork" or "subcategory" of List of national anthems. The article could very easily be expanded by including more information on the anthems such as date it was written, origins, etc. -- HighKing++ 17:28, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
