Promotional biography created by the comms department of his employer. Spam. Guy (Help!) 19:59, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Delete - notability aside, WP:TNT applies here. This reads more like a puff piece than an encyclopedia article. ƒirefly ( t · c · who? ) 20:46, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

::I do not have an opinion on the subject's notability at this point but this is not a WP:Too soon case, as the article says that he is a retired professor emeritus who was active in 1970s and 1980s. (In fact, according to this [https://www.salernofuneralhomes.com/visitations/nick-thomopoulos/1555/], it appears that he died in December 2017; the photo there matches that in his faculty profile page [https://stuart.iit.edu/news/tags/nick-thomopoulos]). If he is not notable already, he won't become notable in the future. Nsk92 (talk) 17:31, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

:::Agree with Nsk92, above. -The Gnome (talk) 10:30, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Delete. The claims of notability seem to rest on his many books. But although a couple of them have strong citation numbers, most don't, and I could only find one review of one of them [https://www.jstor.org/stable/3150983] (lukewarm at best, although I don't think that's especially relevant). I don't think that's enough for WP:AUTHOR or WP:PROF, nor enough to overcome the promotional creation of the article. —David Eppstein (talk) 19:28, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Delete per nomination. -The Gnome (talk) 10:30, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
