Author that has written 4 books, none of which have articles. No external sources, no proof of notability. LK (talk) 15:21, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Comment I withdraw my nomination for AfD, given David Eppstein's contribution below. LK (talk) 10:58, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

- Note: - I can find his books in bookstores here in Norway. You can find loads of references by google, but I'm still not sure about the real notability.. -Snorre/Antwelm (talk) 22:58, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Keep. Does not pass WP:PROF, it seems, but arguably passes WP:BIO. A search on GS (for: "Paul Cantor") turns up 34 citations for a book, then 3 in the 20s, and others with fewer citations. A search on WorldCat (again, for: "Paul Cantor") does not turn up any book with major library holdings. A search on GN (for: "Paul Cantor" literary) turns up 37 news items, from the early 1990s to 2009. Several of these news items are by reputable outlets, and cite him as an expert in a way that supports the claims of the article, which is why I think the article should be kept under WP:BIO--Eric Yurken (talk) 00:14, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Are all those 'Paul Cantor's the same Paul Cantor the article is about? Paul Cantor is not an uncommon name. 222.166.160.85 (talk) 02:52, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Keep. He holds a named chair at Virginia and thereby passes WP:PROF #5. —David Eppstein (talk) 19:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
