- Delete - per WP:OUTCOMES, we have almost always deleted articles of "also ran" political candidates. Bearian (talk) 18:09, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. There are a few newspaper articles about his other political activities, including speaking out against army recruitment in schools and calling for a strike. I think those are a likelier avenue for notability than his schoolteaching or his failed candidacy. But I didn't see any with enough depth of coverage of McGarr himself to pass WP:GNG. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:28, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
