This person fails the WP:GNG as he lacks significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. This article was previously proposed for deletion but was kept because he had "played in europe", however the source for that was a UEFA team list which is a textbook example of WP:ROUTINE coverage. • Keep per WP:ATHLETE, longstanding consensus is that playing in a notable competition confers automatic notability without the need for passing the GNG. --Dweller (talk) 09:53, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

• Delete - I created the article Liam Brownhill, a Droylsden player who competed in the second round of the FA Cup with Droylsden. That got deleted because it failed WP:ATHLETE and I think this article is in the same boat.LiamTaylor 11:12, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
• Delete - There is insufficient coverage for this player to pass WP:GNG and he has not played in any fully pro league, meaning he fails WP:NSPORT. Playing in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League does not grant notability. Sir Sputnik (talk) 13:30, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
