Dorrestein is a non-notable former football player. First, he has not played in a regular season game in a professional league and does not pass WP:NGRIDIRON; he was briefly in the Jets' camp as an undrafted free agent and then on the Bears' practice squad. Second, he received no national or conference honors and has not received national press coverage or won an award that would qualify under WP:NCOLLATH. Third, he has not been the subject of significant coverage in independent, reliable sources so as to pass WP:GNG -- the coverage cited in the article is either routine coverage (e.g., brief roster/injury announcements) or non-independent (profile from the school) rather than in-depth or even medium-depth coverage of Dorrestein. • Delete nice looking article but not notable. It sucks to be a lineman. Ah well, AFD is many things but it's not fair. Fails WP:GNG--00:08, 27 September 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulmcdonald (talkcontribs)
  • Neutral, I am not quite sure what the contemporary interpretation of WP:GNG is. I think at one time this would have passed, but looking more closely, it is hard to argue that it really should.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:08, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Delete Fails WP:NGRIDIRON, WP:NCOLLATH, and WP:GNG since coverage is just routine sports reporting.Mdtemp (talk) 18:52, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
