- Keep per WP:PROF#C1 (heavily cited books), #C5 (the named chair), and WP:AUTHOR (I just added 12 published reviews, with multiple reviews of each of his four books, to the article). —David Eppstein (talk) 23:55, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- Keep passes WP:PROF and WP:AUTHOR. XOR'easter (talk) 01:31, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- He is clearly notable, but the article needed references. Happy to withdraw now. Rathfelder (talk) 09:47, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. Notability is seen. WP:BIO is covered. Laosilika (talk) 12:39, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- Keep, meets WP:NAUTHOR, plenty of reviews of his books, (some of which have enough to warrant their own articles (not that i'm suggesting anyone creates them:))), thanks to {{u|David Eppstein}} for listing some/most of them in the article, that are "well known" (reflected by their library holdings, just enter "Peter Uvin" in worldcat and click away), i know the article was tiny pre-afd [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Peter_Uvin&type=revision&diff=877828076&oldid=877790890 see here], but nominator needs to remember before, before, before, before, before, before.......{{=)}} Coolabahapple (talk) 06:41, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
- I am a humble categoriser, but I think if I find a BLP with no references I should not ignore it. Rathfelder (talk) 17:29, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
:*yep, don't ignore but improve. Coolabahapple (talk) 14:49, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. Meets multiple notability guidelines, per all above. This is an article that is in need of improvement, not deletion. Ejgreen77 (talk) 23:22, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
