No reliable sources talk about this as a genre. The cited sources don't support the preceding statements. The word "pop" doesn't even appear in the CMTV source, and the [https://web.archive.org/web/20200720060154/http://eldiario.com.uy/2015/05/14/rombai-lanza-su-nuevo-hit-noche-loca/ El Diario source only says that the cumbia under discussion has electronic elements making two bands more popular.] I looked hard for more sources and found nothing. - Delete Both sources are about a specific artist, not a genre. The closet I can get to pop cumbia is "Vida de Rico" by Camilo, but that's not enough. Erick (talk) 08:35, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

- Delete: even the sources provided call it "cumbia pop" rather than "pop cumbia", so it means it's an unlikely search term. Richard3120 (talk) 22:38, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- :I think it's more about traditional spelling in Spanish. I see that both are used in sources, but "cumbia pop" is a bit more common. Solidest (talk) 13:22, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
