::I suggest you read the entry again. He was an elected official in the California State Legislature. As such he meets the notability requirement under WP:POLITICIAN.   • Nominator should withdraw as it's clear he didn't read the only sentence in the article carefully, or look at the reference titled "The Legislators of California", let alone follow WP:BEFORE. postdlf (talk) 00:36, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Keep. Per WP:BIO, being elected to state office "does not guarantee that a subject should be included" on Wikipedia. However, even if WP:POLITICIAN did not exist, searches of historical archives show enough material to satisfy WP:GNG. I added two more sources to help demonstrate that point.
