- Keep. [http://books.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=9977&page=277 Biographical Memoirs] V.78 (2000) from the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a reliable source. The fact that a crater on the moon is named after him is another argument for notability. - Keep - links indicate there is substantial biographical material about him, he has an extensive bibliography, and there is an award named in his honor [http://161.58.115.79/membership/awards/trumpler.html here] from a professional astronomy society. CactusWriter 19:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep due to results on Google scholar that verify the information and demonstrate notability. --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 19:45, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. This is a no-brainer. Those NAS biographies are only published for people that are or were members of the US National Academy of Sciences.[http://books.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=9977&page=R7] Being a member of a National Academy satisfies WP:PROF. --Crusio (talk) 21:19, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Well-sourced, clearly notable. Edward321 (talk) 01:53, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. As Crusio noted, being an elected member of the United States National Academy of Sciences is already sufficient to satisfy Criterion 3 of WP:ACADEMIC. Nsk92 (talk) 00:42, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
