- Delete No effective references and insufficient coverage to make up the references. Fails WP:SIGCOV and WP:NARTIST and WP:BIO. scope_creepTalk 14:45, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Delete — basically echoing {{u|DGG}}'s rationale the subject of our discussion has insufficient coverage in reliable sources independent of them to warrant a standalone article at the moment. Celestina007 (talk) 15:08, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment We may want to reach out to the Wikipedia LGBTQ group for help in establishing notability. She seems non-notable, but needs further proof to help meet the threshold. Oaktree b (talk) 15:21, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

- Comment, appears to have a lot of involvement with Volcanic Art Center (that may be a wikinotable gallery?) ie. [https://volcanoartcenter.org/new-exhibit-tiny-treasures/ New Exhibit: Tiny Treasures Invitational - "That event was attended by nine participating artists including Rose Adare, .."], [https://volcanoartcenter.org/new-exhibit-2018-artists-collaboration/ New Exhibit: 2018 Artists Collaboration - "Coordinated by Volcano artist, Elizabeth Miller, the artists who answered the creative call included; .. Rose Adare, .."], [https://volcanoartcenter.org/artist_categories/all/ Volcano Art Center Featured Artists - "Volcano Art Center Featured Artists"] (especially like the collaborative/teaching nature of their work ie. [https://volcanoartcenter.org/shop/jewelry/amy-flanders/rock-faces-collaborative-piece-by-rose-adare-bill-hamilton-and-amy-flanders/ "Rock Faces, Collaborative Piece by Rose Adare, Bill Hamilton, and Amy Flanders"], [https://volcanoartcenter.org/workshop-gold-leaf-and-illumination/ Workshop: Gold Leaf and Illumination - "Artist Rose Adare will offer the “Gold Leaf and Illumination” workshop .."], [https://volcanoartcenter.org/workshop-inspired-figure-drawing/ Workshop: Inspired Figure Drawing - "Artist Rose Adare will offer the “Inspired Figure Drawing” workshop .."]), and there are only mentions in state papers ie. Hawaii Tribune-Herald - [https://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/2018/07/05/community/contemporary-perspectives-exhibit-opens-at-wailoa-center/ "‘Contemporary Perspectives’ exhibit opens at Wailoa Center - .. :*{{yo|Coolabahapple}}, does that get her past GNG? Gleeanon 21:42, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
:::technically it might (although a lot of the above are mentions/aren't indepth), but a lot of artists receive this sort of coverage as a matter of course, hence why i haven't said "keep", but neither "delete" as i reckon Adare is pretty close. :) Coolabahapple (talk) 00:56, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- Keep I just included an article written about Adare in 2019 to address the issue of Significant Coverage [http://www.hawaiiislandmidweek.com/rose-adare/ "A Rose By Any Other Name"]. I was told in a prior edit to remove their published biography as it was not a secondary source, but would it benefit the article to include? I will gladly take any suggestions to improve the article, and I certainly understand the need for sources. I am, however, concerned about the potential ableism within the threshold criteria. Adare is in Hawaii, and is covered by press in Hawaii, accordingly. What they've managed to accomplish in their career is remarkable, yet like many disabled artists their notoriety is within a local state level. - :{{yo|Literary Art Historian}}, her biography and interviews with her can all be used to add to the article but don’t really count toward her notability as she controls that information. We’re looking for sources that report on her, even videos help.{{pb}}If this AfD results in deletion you can have it stored as a Draft again to continue work there. - :{{yo|Gleeanon409}} Thank you for the guidance! I'll continue working on this article. I just added an interview with Hawaii Public Radio, and a print in Luxe Beat Magazine noting how they placed in the Manhattan Arts International exhibition. I also included a few more news paper write ups, in particular this West Hawaii Today article [https://www.westhawaiitoday.com/2016/08/12/entertainment/ready-and-able-pua-na-pua-art-festival-celebrates-differently-abled-artists-in-kona-for-first-time/] but it seems (from the other editors comments) that local press coverage isn't enough (?). The AfD primers said they were acceptable, since those included weren't press releases and came from notable news sources. Regarding the WP:ARTIST criteria, the person is widely regarded as an important figure in Hawaii by their peers and successors (they run the only fine art atelier on the Big Island), the person is known for applying classical techniques to contemporary subject matter, they have multiple independent periodical articles spanning ten years, and their work is in permanent collection at the East Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art. - ::{{yo|Literary Art Historian}}, I suggest you do two main things: 1. Keep improving the article; and 2. Pick from the best sources—not including autobiography, or interviews—the three top sources that talk about her/her work in depth. And also list the next best sources, even if interviews/autobiography, in a list on this page. Then those who are just looking at the AfD can make their judgement more informed. Good luck! - Keep but Improve The subject passes WP:GNG IMO, there are enough reliable references supporting the content. Just because the subject represents a seemingly underrepresented cohort of artists, doesn't make it not-notable. K67 (talk) 16:14, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- Delete - The subject of this article does not pass WP:NARTIST nor WP:GNG. After searching I found social media & blog mentions, some press-release type material on residencies, etc. What I did not find were in-depth reviews in major art magazines, nor art historical articles, mentions in books, nor could I find museum collections. BTW, FWIW, I have been to Volcano House/Volcano Art Center and it mostly shows small multiple works like prints, decorative ceramic and glass objects, and "Hawaiian-motif" paintings all of which seem to be produced for the tourist industry and tourists visiting Volcano National Park, I definitely would not consider it a serious art gallery. Sorry if that sounds like a harsh critique, but I don't think this venue should be considered one that counts towards notability. Netherzone (talk) 20:09, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
