Promotional piece on a graphic designer. Current referencing is listings, passing mentions, him talking about himself, about companys he has worked for. No significant independent coverage about him. duffbeerforme (talk) 14:34, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

  • In a quick Google search, there are a few recent references that seem to indicate that established media institutions such as Bloomberg BusinessWeek, PBS and the Huffington Post treat Haviv as a "person of cultural significance" and an expert on design and branding: [http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2012-04-12/how-to-design-a-logo-sagi-haviv] from Bloomberg Businessweek, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3jTSB2ez-g] from PBS and [http://on.aol.com/video/risk-of-rebranding----microsoft-rolls-out-first-new-logo-in-25-years-517455824] from Huffington Post.   • I also found that Haviv authored a book that came out on Print publishers last year called Identify [http://www.amazon.com/Identify-Principles-Identity-Trademarks-Chermayeff/dp/1440310327]. And Haviv's book was reviewed in the LA Times [http://articles.latimes.com/2011/dec/18/entertainment/la-ca-tom-geismar-20111218]. Authoring a book with a proper publisher and being reviewed in a major national newspaper is independent confirmation that this is a valid entry. I have added a few references to the article.   • From sources independent of the subject, it looks like he has been judging design competitions nationally for Print magazine [http://www.mydesignshop.com/print-magazine-regional-design-annual-2012] and Virginia Tech University [http://archdesign.vt.edu/events/lectures/2012.2%20Fall/1322.php] and internationally in India [http://www.indiafutureofchange.com/Visual_GrandJury_SagiHaviv.htm]. And I found two lectures on design he gave at Princeton University [http://www.princetonsda.com/directions/speakers.html?show=kw] and at the Design Thinkers conference in Toronto [http://lanyrd.com/2011/designthinkers/skchc/].
