The result was keep. Consensus was that the subject meets WP:NPROF (presumably C1 and C7) and even WP:GNG.

Suggestion: Try using WP:BASIC, which is less strict than WP:GNG on wp:significant coverage while still making the subject presumably notable. (non-admin closure) ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 11:35, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

  • Keep. Arguably also meets some PROF criteria (he has some well cited publications), but readily meets GNG due to his impact on avian conservation in India. The Hindustan Times labels him as an [https://www.hindustantimes.com/indore/remove-geese-ducks-from-lakes-in-indore-to-prevent-bird-flu-outbreak/story-epqoxVxKshXHMIn61q9ejP.html eminent ornithologist], he is profiled by [https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/pune/this-busy-radiologist-is-also-a-saviour-to-injured-wild-birds/articleshow/75088896.cms Times of India], and has been inducted into the [https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/pune/ela-founder-felicitated-for-work-on-owl-conservation/articleshow/81098595.cms World Owl Hall of Fame (also Times of India)]. • Keep per Eostrix's argument above. Enough to pass GNG based on the provided sources. Kolma8 (talk) 12:53, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
  • Keep per Eostrix. Notable enough for having a standalone page. The notability tag on the article was placed unscrupulously if not wrongly. Chiro725 (talk) 09:16, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
