Delete Fails WP:NACADEMIC & WP:GNG. Does not meet criteria for notablity. (not even criteria 6: State University of Bangladesh is a Private University & not a major academic institution or major academic society). I did a google search & found nothing except 2-3 press release. আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 18:02, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

  • Keep heading a university with 5000 students meets academic criteria 6.John Pack Lambert (talk) 07:09, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
  • I think some further explanation is required from the nominator about why the subject doesn't meet WP:PROF#C6. Many of the top universities in the world are private (including, if my memory serves me correctly, all of the Ivy League universities in the USA), so that is not something that distinguishes major from minor academic institutions. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:50, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep - being private is not inherently relevant to criterion 6, except that obviously there's a higher chance of it being a degree mill and thus not a major academic institute. While it's not pouring in the media coverage, it has some non-PR coverage and professors and students of it get cited as doing things or in works. So it's presence hasn't just been solely manufactured. It's a poor academic institution, but I'm inclined for non-mill universities to be reasonably inclusive (as opposed to more stringent consideration of independent research centres). As such I feel it applies and so Salam is notable. Nosebagbear (talk) 18:18, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Keep. I have addded content with citation. according to source here [https://www.thedailystar.net/city/prof-sayeed-new-vc-state-university-bangladesh-1468903 1] [https://dailyasianage.com/news/87562/prof-salam-made-vc--of-state-university 2]. I am of the opinion this article passes WP:GNG.--Nahal(T) 08:29, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
